Please read the following rules carefully. By registering for the competition, each contestant acknowledges and agrees to follow these rules and regulations.

1. ELIGIBILITY

The Makeup with Mirabella competition is open to makeup artists and aspiring makeup artists in the Windsor-Essex area.

Both experienced and emerging makeup artists are welcome to participate.

2. REGISTRATION

The registration fee is $25 per contestant.

The $25 registration fee must be sent by e-transfer to: diasoulard@hotmail.com

Payment must be submitted on the day the application is made.

Payment of the $25 registration fee guarantees the applicant a place in the competition.

Registration is considered complete once both the application and registration payment have been received.

Application Deadline:

Wednesday, September 16, 2026

3. COMPETITION TIME SLOTS

Once registered, each contestant will be assigned a two-hour competition time slot.

Contestants do not have to use the entire two hours. If their makeup application is completed sooner, they may finish early.

All registered contestants must complete their competition makeup session no later than Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Contestants are responsible for arriving on time for their assigned appointment.

4. THE MAKEUP CHALLENGE

Each contestant will create a full face of makeup on the designated competition model.

Contestants may create any makeup style they choose. There is no required theme or specific look.

Creativity and individual artistic expression are encouraged.

To ensure fairness and consistency, every contestant will apply their makeup to the same model.

5. MIRABELLA PRODUCTS & SALON-SUPPLIED TOOLS

All makeup products used during the competition must be Mirabella makeup provided by the salon.

Contestants may not bring or use their own makeup products.

All makeup brushes and application tools must also be provided by the salon.

Contestants may not bring or use their own brushes or makeup application tools.

These requirements are in place to provide contestants with the same products and tools and to maintain a fair competition.

6. FALSE EYELASHES

False eyelashes are optional.

Contestants may choose to incorporate false eyelashes into their finished look.

If a contestant chooses to use false eyelashes, they will be responsible for providing and paying for them.

False eyelashes are not required to participate or compete.

7. PHOTOGRAPHY & PHOTO SUBMISSION

After completing their makeup application, each contestant's finished model will be photographed.

The contestant will select their best photograph to be submitted into the competition.

Only the selected photograph will be entered into public voting.

Contestant identities will remain anonymous when photographs are posted for voting.

🗳️ 8. PUBLIC VOTING

Voting is open to the general public.

Each person may cast only ONE VOTE FOR ONE PHOTO PER ELIMINATION ROUND.

Once an elimination round closes, all votes reset to zero.

When a new round begins, every voter receives a new opportunity to cast one vote.

Voters may vote again in subsequent rounds, including for the same contestant, because every round begins with a completely new vote count.

9. ELIMINATION ROUNDS

The competition will consist of multiple rounds of public voting.

At the conclusion of each round, the contestant photographs receiving the lowest number of votes will be eliminated.

The number of contestants eliminated during each round will be determined according to the total number of registered contestants.

The elimination process will continue until five contestants remain.

Those five contestants will become the Top 5 winners.

10. VOTING PERIODS & FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT

The closing date and time for each voting round will be announced once the total number of registered applicants has been established.

Because the number of registered contestants determines the number of elimination rounds required, the overall length of the competition cannot be predetermined.

For this reason, a final winner-announcement date cannot be provided at the beginning of the competition.

The final winners will be announced once all required elimination rounds have been completed.

⚖️ 11. TIES & TIE-BREAKER

Every elimination round must produce a clear result.

In the event of a tie between two or more contestants, the tied contestants will enter a separate tie-breaker vote.

The tie-breaker will be opened to the public, and the voting period will be announced by the contest organizers.

Only the contestants involved in the tie will participate in the tie-breaker vote.

The contestant receiving the highest number of votes during the tie-breaker will advance, while the contestant(s) receiving fewer votes will be eliminated.

If another tie occurs during the tie-breaker, the tie-breaker process will be repeated until a clear result is reached.

🚨 12. FAIR PLAY & DISQUALIFICATION

The integrity of the competition is extremely important.

All contestants are expected to participate honestly and respectfully.

Contestants may not attempt to manipulate, interfere with, or unfairly influence the voting process.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Fraudulent or artificial voting
• Using automated voting systems or bots
• Attempting to submit multiple votes during the same voting round
• Manipulating or interfering with the voting system
• Providing false information during registration
• Failing to follow the competition rules
• Using unauthorized makeup products or tools
• Engaging in inappropriate, threatening, abusive, or disrespectful conduct toward organizers, staff, models, contestants, or voters

The contest organizers reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and disqualify any contestant or entry found to have violated the rules or compromised the integrity of the competition.

Any decision regarding disqualification will be made by the contest organizers and will be considered final.

13. CONTESTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

By entering Makeup with Mirabella, contestants agree to:

• Follow all competition rules and regulations.
• Arrive on time for their assigned competition appointment.
• Use only Mirabella makeup products provided by the salon.
• Use only brushes and makeup application tools supplied by the salon.
• Apply makeup to the designated competition model.
• Complete their competition session by September 30, 2026.
• Submit only their selected competition photograph.
• Follow all public voting rules.
• Participate honestly and fairly.
• Treat salon staff, models, contestants, organizers, and members of the public respectfully.

🏆 14. PRIZES

The Top 5 contestants will receive the following prizes:

• 🥇 1ST PLACE $2,000 value in Mirabella makeup & professional tools
• 🥈 2ND PLACE $1,500 value in Mirabella makeup & professional tools
• 🥉 3RD PLACE $1,000 value in Mirabella makeup & professional tools
• 🏅 4TH PLACE $600 value in Mirabella makeup & professional tools
• 🏅 5TH PLACE $400 value in Mirabella makeup & professional tools
